with a Visionary Pulse

Sandra Lattuca is a South African artist whose work bridges the ancient and the futuristic, the mystical and the mathematical. Her vivid, symbolic paintings are infused with sacred geometry, mythology, and a deep sense of interconnectedness. Shimmering with colour, intricate detail, and spiritual resonance, her work invites viewers into portals of memory, transformation, and possibility.
Sandra’s artistic journey began in childhood, influenced by her mother, an artist who introduced her to the expressive power of colour, light, and form. Over time, Sandra developed a practice rooted in ecological wisdom, sacred feminine archetypes, and a vision of balance between ancient intelligence and future innovation.
In 2025, she founded Casa d’Arte, an artist residency on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. Created as a sanctuary for creative exchange, reflection, and reconnection with nature, the residency brings together artists from around the world to explore, create, and collaborate. The inaugural program culminated in an exhibition at the historic Torre delle Arti in Bellagio, under the theme Reflections of Bellagio—a visual meditation on the shimmering dialogue between water and sky, stillness and movement, seen and unseen.
This ongoing body of work draws inspiration from the natural mirror-like beauty of Lake Como and the transformative potential of reflection—both literal and symbolic. Through this theme, Sandra invites viewers to consider how inner landscapes echo the outer world, and how art can serve as a vessel for clarity, truth, and deeper connection.
She is also developing an animated series based on Friends of Sophia, her book written between 2020–2023, which imagines a regenerated world where science, ancient wisdom, and conscious design work hand in hand.

When you look at her paintings, they begin to breathe. You hear giraffes trotting through the golden savannah, the lion’s roar echoing across endless space. The earth vibrates in deep ochres and vibrant reds, while ancient patterns seem to shift and shimmer like a mirage. You dream of serpents curling through dense jungle foliage, of ancestral drums beneath your feet. And suddenly, you are not just seeing a painting — you are inside it.
