Year in Review 2025
A Year of Art, Encounters, and Lived Vision

A Mosaic of the World
Art from Over 80 Countries United
2025 was a year of extraordinary diversity and meaningful encounters for us. Artists from more than 80 countries across all continents participated in our Open Calls—an impressive number that further anchored our platform internationally and expanded our creative network.
Each submission tells its own story, opens new perspectives, and reflects the boundless diversity of human expression.
Time and again, we are reminded of how deeply international exchange connects people, fosters understanding, and contributes to a more peaceful world. Art transcends borders—geographical, linguistic, and cultural—creating a shared space where people meet as equals, inspire one another, and learn together.
Our Mission at the Heart of Art:
Free, Curatorial, and Open Without Borders
We remain faithful to our core vision: Lumenart.gallery is a space where art can emerge freely, independently, and visibly. All our competitions are free of charge—an approach that builds trust worldwide and sets our platform apart.
This enables artists who may lack financial resources to participate on equal footing and present their curated work to an international audience.
Beyond competitions, we have further deepened our curatorial profile. Through interviews, solo shows, and artist portraits, we do not merely present works—we make the stories behind them tangible. Each publication speaks of passion, courage, and creative vision, strengthening the visibility of our international artists.

THE IMPOSSIBLES -
When Visions Become Reality
The highlight of the year was our own exhibition THE IMPOSSIBLES, held in October in cooperation with the Arya Kamali Art and Culture Center in the historic old town of Izmir.
Set within a historic building, the exhibition brought together Turkish and international artists—presented through original artworks as well as digital image installations. It created a dynamic dialogue between physical and digital art, tradition and contemporary interpretation.
The opening was a remarkable experience. Alongside our loyal audience, many young visitors found their way to the vibrant surrealist exhibition. This strong engagement demonstrated how committed curatorial work can reach new audiences, encourage cultural exchange, and keep art alive.
THE IMPOSSIBLES became a place of encounter—where visions, ideas, and cultural narratives merged.

Words, Works, Worlds –
Our Books & Booklets Continue to Grow
Our books and booklets have evolved into valuable documents of our international work. They preserve the diversity of our platform, honor outstanding artists, and form a lasting archive of creativity.
Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to expand this area significantly, offering even more artists the opportunity to present their work in enduring printed form. After awarding monetary prizes last winter, artists were able for the first time at the end of this year to win their own booklets—an exceptional distinction that makes their work visible and sustainably appreciated

Support Art Without Barriers
Art as a Bridge – Why We Do What We Do
We love what we do. Our motivation is to connect artists worldwide, make their work visible, and strengthen creative voices.
Because we believe that the world needs art. Art opens new perspectives, fosters understanding, touches hearts, and inspires people in all walks of life. Our work is a contribution to a world that remains open, curious, and empathetic.
Moving Forward Together –
Partnerships for a Free Future
To continue offering our platform free of charge, open, and curatorially meaningful, sponsors and funding partners are becoming increasingly important.
We invite individuals, institutions, and companies to share in the power of art and to join us in creating an international stage where creativity can grow.

Horizons Ahead –
A Promising Look Toward 2026
With great anticipation, we look ahead to autumn 2026, when we will present a special exhibition featuring the award-winning artists and artworks published in the book LOVE HEALS by Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar.
The exhibition LOVE HEALS will bring together the artists whose works were selected for the publication, creating a shared space of encounter between art, healing, and dialogue. Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar will personally present her book during the exhibition, meet the participating artists, and hold a book signing, turning the event into a meaningful exchange between creators, audiences, and disciplines.
This exhibition represents a unique convergence of visual art, medicine, and human connection—celebrating creativity not only as expression, but as a force of care, reflection, and transformation.
Our upcoming Open Calls promise exciting themes and innovative perspectives, inviting artists to expand their boundaries and explore new forms of expression.
We look forward to a year filled with creativity, inspiring encounters, and the continued weaving together of art and artists across the world.
Because we will never tire of this mission: The world needs art—and we will make it visible.
