LOVE
International Art Competition
Art meets literature. Love becomes visible.
Lumen Art Gallery invites artists to submit their work to our special international art competition LOVE, created in connection with the second Turkish edition of "Evrensel Senfoni III - Sevgi İyileştirir "(Love Heals) by Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar.
For this new edition, we are looking for one outstanding artwork for the book cover, as well as 20 Finalists whose works will become part of a special digital presentation during Lumen Art Week 2027, taking place 10–14 May 2027.
FIRST PRIZE — BOOK COVER
One artwork will be selected as the Cover Award Winner and will become the official artist cover of the second Turkish edition of Sevgi İyileştirir.
The winning artwork will also be presented during Lumen Art Week 2027, either physically or digitally, according to the artist’s preference and exhibition possibilities.
20 FINALISTS
An additional 20 artists will be selected as Finalists.
Their selected artworks will be presented in a digital exhibition during Lumen Art Week 2027, bringing the competition from the online platform into a live international art and cultural event.
A SPECIAL ENCOUNTER DURING LUMEN ART WEEK
The competition is closely connected with the program of Lumen Art Week.
During the event, the books and publications of Lumen Art Books will be presented, and Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar will join us for a special evening dedicated to Sevgi İyileştirir, including a reading, book signing, conversation and personal encounter with artists and guests.
This creates a special opportunity for participating artists—particularly artists from Türkiye—to become part of an international dialogue between visual art, literature and the many meanings of love.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The Open Call is open to visual artists internationally.
We welcome

-drawing,
-mixed media,
-collage
and other original forms of visual art.

For the best possible cover presentation, please submit your artwork in portrait format.
We are looking for works that explore LOVE in its broadest sense: human connection, friendship, compassion, intimacy, family, healing, hope, solidarity, belonging—or an entirely personal interpretation of what love can mean.
